ABOUT

King Island Landcare undertakes important work across King Island, ensuring the island remains healthy both environmentally and agriculturally. We are 5 part-time staff members, but much additional work is also done by our dedicated supporters. There are no regular funds available for this work. Funds are raised through a variety of channels, from governments, NGOs and corporate organisations to private donations.

In association with the Moonbird Festival, King Island Landcare Group is running fundraising activities to support our vital conservation and environmental work. We are so touched by the incredible generosity of individuals and organisations who have contributed to this campaign. In 2023 we raised $20,000 through our Moonbird fundraising activities.

In 2024, in addition to Landcare, we are also supporting King Island Lions Club with their art sale to raise funds for drought-effected farmers. Pre-loved artworks will hang in the Town Hall from Thursday 18th of April, and 10% of the sale price goes to support farmers.
